Weigh-in on how climate funding is directed to our communities!
California will spend $872 Million on projects that reduce greenhouse gases, and thanks to SB 535 (de Leon), at least 25% of these funds will go towards improving EJ communities. Let’s make sure they go towards the projects that we want!
The Air Resources Board (ARB) will host workshops to get community feedback on:
1) The State’s funding rules for climate projects that benefit EJ communities
2) Which neighborhoods are eligible for project grants
We now have the opportunity to promote investments that will transform our communities to be cleaner, healthier and more integrated in the green economy. Attending the ARB Workshop and offering feedback will ensure that we can make the most of this opportunity!
Who should attend: Community leaders and local government allies working on projects that reduce climate pollution, especially clean freight, clean energy, affordable housing, urban forestry, and public transit
When: Wednesday, September 3 from 6-8 p.m.
Where: State Building (1515 Clay St. Oakland, CA)
We look forward to seeing you there!
